Security upgrades: maintenance and follow-up checks

Update maintenance instructions for the installed models and remove obsolete checks. Record the new firmware, consumables and test process instead of continuing with an old equipment checklist.

Why this decision matters

A powered-on indicator does not prove that the detection, recording, release or reporting outcome still works.

Work through the actual task

  1. Update tests, consumables and support information for installed equipment.
  2. Remove obsolete steps and repeat affected checks.
  3. Assign each follow-up to a person and book qualified service for internal electrical work.

Worked example

Staff continue to use the previous model's maintenance checklist. This is a hypothetical example, not a completed customer installation.

The useful evidence at the end of this example is: A revised service plan linked to the upgraded models.

Limits and follow-up

A new panel or recorder may change app access and ongoing costs. Include user migration, account ownership and demonstrations in the quotation.

If the relevant check cannot be completed, record what remains uncertain and who will resolve it before work or sign-off proceeds.

Sources and equipment references
