SYDNEY ALARMS / PRIVACY

Privacy policy

This page explains how the Sydney Alarms website handles enquiry information and necessary website sessions. Contact sales@serioussecurity.com.au about the information you have submitted or a privacy concern.

Who receives your enquiry

Sydney Alarms is a Serious Security website. Quotes, callbacks and service enquiries are handled by Serious Security Pty Ltd. The enquiry recipient is sales@serioussecurity.com.au.

Information submitted through the forms

The short quote form requires your name, phone, suburb and selected service, plus consent to be contacted about the enquiry. Email, project notes and additional property/timing details are optional. The server saves a reference and timestamp and uses connection-derived hashed identifiers to limit spam. Do not submit passwords or alarm codes.

Why the information is used

Enquiry details are used to respond, understand the proposed work, arrange follow-up and keep a service/quote record. The current recipient is sales@serioussecurity.com.au. Sending a form does not create an account, make a booking or subscribe the visitor to marketing.

Storage, email and access

A form submission is saved outside the public website folder before email is attempted through the host mail service. Records carry delivery status so failed mail can be retried. Hosting and email providers process information needed for those functions. Authorised operators need to keep private storage, email access and backups controlled.

Necessary cookies and browser behaviour

The website uses a session cookie to secure forms and show the enquiry receipt. The current build includes no advertising, analytics or third-party tracking scripts. Telephone and email links open the visitor’s chosen application; those services have their own handling of information sent through them.

Access, correction, deletion and retention

Email sales@serioussecurity.com.au with enough information to identify the relevant enquiry and request a correction, access, deletion or privacy review. Avoid sending more sensitive information than needed. Records should be kept only for the enquiry, any resulting work and relevant operational/record-keeping needs; no fixed automatic deletion period is claimed by this build.

Questions and answers

Does the form sign me up to promotional emails?

No marketing subscription feature is included. The consent field permits contact about the submitted enquiry.

Are the saved enquiry files publicly viewable?

They are designed to be stored outside the public document root. The hosting operator must preserve that directory separation and access control during upload and maintenance.

How enquiry sources and conversion events work

The existing website session stores the initial landing path and allowed campaign tags such as utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign. The source page and campaign context are attached to the enquiry so Serious Security can assess where useful leads come from. Full referrer URLs, arbitrary query strings and advertising click IDs are not saved by this implementation.

The site prepares browser events for telephone-link clicks, form starts and accepted submissions. Those events exclude customer names, email addresses, phone numbers and message text. Google Analytics and Google Ads are not connected in the current package; no external analytics script is loaded. This policy must be reviewed when a reporting platform is connected.
