Security repairs: user permissions and access changes

Arrange for an authorised account holder to attend the service visit. After work is complete, review temporary service access and remove any permissions that are no longer needed.

Why this decision matters

Removing a person from a contact list does not necessarily revoke their device or platform permissions.

Work through the actual task

  1. Arrange the supported access process and a responsible decision maker.
  2. Review and remove temporary service permissions after work.
  3. Review the user list after a staff departure, tenancy change or lost credential.

Worked example

Service access is needed but the authorised account holder is away. This is a hypothetical example, not a completed customer installation.

The useful evidence at the end of this example is: An agreed service authority and a record of access closure.

Limits and follow-up

Do not open mains powered equipment or defeat tamper switches. Arrange a qualified service visit when a fault needs internal inspection.

If the relevant check cannot be completed, record what remains uncertain and who will resolve it before work or sign-off proceeds.
