Why this decision matters
Removing a person from a contact list does not necessarily revoke their device or platform permissions.
Work through the actual task
- Use the authorised change-of-occupancy process.
- Remove obsolete credentials and linked remote access.
- Review the user list after a staff departure, tenancy change or lost credential.
Worked example
A former resident still has an active entry credential. This is a hypothetical example, not a completed customer installation.
The useful evidence at the end of this example is: A current resident/contractor access record under controlled management.
Limits and follow-up
Do not assume a resident can authorise changes to common property. Confirm the approval process and the person authorised to accept the work.
If the relevant check cannot be completed, record what remains uncertain and who will resolve it before work or sign-off proceeds.
